Era's music is a direct reflection of the ideas, feelings and experiences that she faces from day to day life. She leaves nothing on the table when she expresses the fears that wash over her nor does she pull back when uplifting herself through those same heavy passages of lyricism. Her vocabulary runs deep and allows her storytelling to go places that not many songwriters even dare to. As you discover all of this for yourself, you begin to listen to closer and closer to every sound coming from her direction. As she is accompanied by additional sounds later in the session, we get the rare joy of hearing her powerful music with the backing of percussion, horns and more guitar. Era's pleads for us to wake up and seek change grow to a higher urgency as her bandmates join in on amplifying the message ultimately leaving us with an eerily appropriate session for the time our world is currently in.
