Dali's session was an opportunity for us to capture the mysterious bolero-centric sound that he has so effortlessly developed. After hearing so much of his catalog on streaming platforms, we had been so determined to put this masterclass of latin music up onto the Midnight stage. To see it play out in front of us was so badass.The songwriting covers so much emotional ground and hits on many different levels as we see Dali's lyricism perfectly coincide with the killer ensemble of musicians playing alongside him. The guitar arrangements throughout the session are so true to form and the bass and percussion help steady the ship through the waves of romance and triumph that these songs tackle. We even get a special appearance from Episode XXXIX's frontman, Aquiles Moon. This episode has so much in it, and it barely breaks a sweat.
